The Unhoneymooners: A mocktail recipe (Limencello margarita mocktail)

I made a limoncello margarita for this book, I felt like it matched the cover and one of the characters mentions margaritas a few times. I had limoncello la croix already along with Ritual's zero proof tequila alternative so I figured it was perfect.

La croix limoncello margarita recipe:

1/2 can limoncello la croix

2 oz Ritual zero proof tequila alternative

1 to 2 oz lime juice

1 to 2 tbls of simple syrup or agave (I used one to make it less sweet)

Combine ingredients, stir well, and pour over ice.

Some notes:

You can use a whole can of la croix if you want a bigger margarita or if you want 2 or if you want more la croix to tequila ratio.

You can add 2 oz of lemon juice but I prefer it without

You could probably use the pre-made margarita cocktail mix and do half that and half la croix.

If you like salt, feel free to salt the rim, I don't care for a salted rim so I skipped it.

I tried this recipe first with grove 42 since it’s orangey to make it like a triple sec and I didn’t love it so I made the recipe without it. If you like having triple sec you can add the triple sec zero proof alternative by Lyre's which might work but since I don't have any and am not sure when I would use it again, I did not want to buy a bottle for now just to try it. I may in the future and update this if I do.

Cheers, I hope you enjoy it!
